According to Dayton Daily News, local firefighters are trying to determine what caused a fire at a warehouse owned by a local construction company. The Springfield Fire Division provided information saying firefighters responded to a call at a one-story warehouse shortly after 2:30 am.
The building is owned by Kapp Construction, Inc. and as of now, the structure appears to be a total loss, as reported by officials. Steve Midgley, office manager for the company, said the building is used to store building materials left over from construction projects. He said no one was working at the building and no one was injured. The warehouse already suffered heavy damage when firefighters arrived, and it is not yet clear how the fire started.
